The main advantages of az-smart heating and cooling control systems, besides comfort and professionalism, are cost optimization and increasing the energy efficiency of the building.
Energy savings of between 20-50% can be achieved with smart heating/cooling control. Following the implementation of smart heating/cooling control, our customers have realized savings of between 20%-50% based on measured experience. The level of energy savings is of course highly dependent on the energy awareness of the users. However, it can be shown that even with awareness, uncontrolled systems lead to less efficient use.
Think of an office environment, you may have encountered similar situations where equipment was left with the window open during heating or cooling periods or left on accidentally at night, on weekends, or on holidays. With today's overpriced energy prices, it is in every responsible business owner's interest to take steps toward energy efficiency. The az-smart heating and cooling control offers the possibility to set up a protocol and monitor its operation. It operates heating and cooling according to a pre-programmed schedule while providing useful functions to optimize energy use and avoid energy waste.
Let's look at some useful features
The az-smart system monitors the current status of the opening shutters by using wireless opening sensors on the shutters to stop heating/cooling.
Any unauthorized changes to the wall thermostats can be overridden after a few minutes by the control read so that only authorized personnel within the company can control the heating.
Smart radiator valves, together with a temperature sensor, give you the ability to set the temperature in your room.
An additional option is the room-by-room cost share statement, which provides a correct solution for accounting in the case of shared boilers.
The installation of an az-smart heating and cooling system does not require any specialist intervention or modification, and the great advantage of our system is that it typically uses wireless technology (wifi, ZigBee, RF, etc.)
The az-smart system is based on a local smart home control panel. The system can be accessed locally or remotely via a mobile app or from any browser on a PC.
By implementing az-smart heating and cooling control, you can control the internal temperature of your building in a professional and convenient, user-friendly way. You contribute to the future energy efficiency of your building, saving energy and money for your company.
Application areas
We offer simple solutions for various heating/cooling systems:
- Modern fan-coil systems can be directly integrated into az-smart heating and cooling systems, and systems controlled by infrared or classic thermostats can be integrated using smart control devices.
- Integration of circulators, underfloor heating, and so-called dry contact (classic) gas boilers can be integrated into az-smart heating and cooling systems by the installation of smart devices such as thermostat controllers.
- For buildings with a single heating circuit, the installation of different smart devices allows integration, enabling the desired temperature to be controlled from room to room.
- Gas boilers with the bus system and heat pump systems can be directly subordinated to the az-smart heating and cooling system.
- Electric boiler systems can also be connected.
Almost any existing heating system can be quickly integrated into the az-smart heating and cooling system at a low cost and with a short payback period.
Useful features in details
- Facilitate billing for multiple consumers
We offer this option to our customers who have several consumers in their building but do not have a disconnected heating system, such as small premises or office buildings. Where the building has one heating circuit, possibly with one control option. In the case of multiple consumers, both agreeing on the temperature level and accounting for the energy used is difficult. The solution to cost sharing between consumers and differential temperature setting is the az-smart heating system.
In cases where it is easy to delimit the parts of the property used by different consumers, differentiation between consumers is possible by using heat meters installed on each branch. The ratio of heat to volume, weighted by the ratio measured over a given period, shows the energy consumption of each consumer.
If it is not possible to differentiate between consumers, the desired temperature can be set using an az-smart virtual thermostat. This allows each consumer to set the temperature level of the rooms they use. The virtual thermostat enables temperature control and metering by communicating with different smart devices.
The operating mechanism
The virtual thermostat assigned to the rooms is implemented by installing a wireless temperature sensor and smart thermocouples on radiator bodies, with a predefined hysteresis. The input value of the predefined hysteresis is provided by the temperature sensor. The control opens and closes the thermocouples to achieve the programmed desired temperature values. In this way, the virtual thermostat of the various consumers is given independent boiler control.
The measurement of the energy consumption of the room heated by the Consumer is determined on the basis of a short sampling cycle. Knowing the physical dimensions of the radiator bodies, the percentage release of heat energy consumed in the cycle can be calculated based on the valve open condition. With this information, the energy cost measured by the digitally read meters can be apportioned between different consumers.
Opening sensor of the anti-waste.
The heating-cooling system can be supplemented with an opening sensor installed on the windows and doors as a protection option. It can help to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
The principle of operation is to simply control heating or cooling. It will switch off the ventilation when it detects that a door is open for a certain time (5-20 seconds) and switch it back on if all the doors are closed for a certain time (e.g. 10 seconds).
Remote meter reading
It allows continuous monitoring and remote reading of gas and electricity consumption by integrating our smart devices. The application of az-smart remote meter reading is suitable for the electronic reading of both electricity and gas meters, which can even be used for the separate metering of individual appliances. By using a current meter that can be installed in front of a cooling/heating appliance that uses electricity, the az-smart system provides continuous information on the power consumption and the consumption.
The operating mechanism:
A considerable proportion of gas consumption meters, at the lowest local number, have a magnetic transducer which is made readable by a sensor unit containing a reed relay. This gives a pulse at a full scale of the smallest local value.
For those meters that do not have a transmitter, an installed smart camera reader is used to collect the data, which takes a picture of the clock at certain intervals (typically 10 minutes) and converts it into numbers for us using character recognition.
